Our daughter, Ali, died on November 22, 2002 at the age of thirteen. Her unfortunate death was a direct result of injuries suffered due to being hit by a drunk driver in a hit and run on February 10, 2001. THE ALI MEYER FOUNDATION is dedicated to all of our memories of Ali. We know that Ali is proud to have her name live on forever by having this foundation named after her.
Our purpose is to operate exclusively for the health, education, and welfare of children of the State of Colorado by providing medical assistance to needy children and education on the dangers of drunk driving. We give primary consideration for grants to The Children’s Hospital Foundation to help provide rehabilitation equipment for patients in need at The Children’s Hospital in Denver. We also provide grants to Mothers Against Drunk Driving.
Our goal is to keep expenses down to a bare minimum at all times. No directors, officers, staff members or volunteers will ever receive a salary.
THE ALI MEYER FOUNDATION was formed in February of 2004 as a Colorado nonprofit corporation. The IRS has approved the foundation as an exempt organization under Section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Therefore, all donations are tax deductible.
100% of all donations go directly to the foundation with absolutely no commissions or fees going to professional fundraising organizations.
